Always so nice to listen to your easy Canadian chats. I smile all the way through. You're a good guy Brent Butt

Cape Spear NL is the furthest eastern point of Canada where you are closer to Ireland than you are to Vancouver. Yarmouth, OTOH, could claim to be as far west as you can get in the Atlantic Ocean on mainland Canada. That's only if you consider the Bay of Fundy to be separate from the Atlantic a la the Gulf of St Lawrence or the Caribbean. Pedantic, I know.

Hey Brent, good ramblings.

Is it cold there? It is still cold in Ottawa. But finally above zero!! Been raining here( the snow stopped at least).

I'm one of the Dozen with no tattoos. Also I could barely hear the heater but I can imagine how loud it actually was, haha, have stayed in some hotel rooms over the years , that have those noisy oldies, still cranking out heat.

Congrats on the weight loss..I've been plugging away for 9 months now, on my own, like you, it's not an easy thing to do... and you do look slimmer, even when leaning back.

Good luck on the rest of your tour!

Thank you for another NETV episode! I just watched your fellow Canadian return to earth earlier this evening! 😃

Being from south of the border as I am, I'm no expert on Canadian geography, but I thought for sure that the tip of Labrador stuck out further than Nova Scotia, and just now referring to a map, that appears to be the case. Is that correct, or is it one of those diabolical geographical illusions perpetrated by fiendish map makers?

I’d be impressed if I ever saw someone with a Herve Villechaize tattoo. Then again, it doesn’t take much to impress me.

Thanks, Brent. Didn't remember that about Sask time zones!

Ah, Nova Scotia. I’m a Georgia girl whose late husband was from Halifax. Our first trip there was on that ferry to which you refer, The Scotia Prince from Portland. That was also the first time I became aware of the Atlantic Time Zone, don’t know whether they observe DST or not!

Another entertaining episode. Congratulations on the weight loss. Slow and steady wins the race...that's the way to lose it.

Another 'on the road again' NETV has been successfully released. As for the first Thursday of February 1988. It was none other than Valentines Day.

How can February 14 be the first Thursday? Just asking

Johnbuoy's avatar

You are correct. It was kind of meant as a joke. Just checking to see if anyone was paying attention. It was actually Feb. 4th.

I also have no tattoos, and have never been inside a Walmart. I believe that makes me my own personal Venn diagram..
